Tell us a little about yourself and your path to Tactel
I work as a developer on the Arc project, our 3D map solution for airplanes. My days are incredibly varied, with tasks ranging from developing new features, customer bug reports to performance analyses and other things that need solving. My first contact with Tactel was in 2011 at the Arkad job fair in Lund. Even back then, I had a good feeling about it, and the year after, I was offered a job here. I’d say that gut feeling was pretty accurate :)
What does a typical workday look like?
The day usually starts with me reviewing and code-auditing what my colleagues have been working on. I often work a bit deeper in the application myself, dealing with things like structure, data management, and other behind-the-scenes parts that make the whole thing work. Problem-solving is actually the reason I became a developer. It doesn’t have to be a specific type of problem, it’s the entire process of digging into the 'why,' figuring out the root cause, and finally cracking it that I really enjoy.

What makes Tactel, Tactel?
Tactel has an incredibly open culture, and because the company is the perfect size, it’s easy to talk to anyone. There are no closed doors here; help is always within reach, and you can always find a sounding board or someone to bounce ideas off of when you need a fresh perspective.
And what about when you're not working?
I have three small children, so 'free time' is a rather abstract concept right now. But when I’m not at work, I stay busy playing floorball, coaching my daughter's handball team, and keeping up with my favorite shows, like Expedition Robinson [Survivor] ;)
Any advice for someone who wants to work here?
Stay curious and keep a hunger for learning. At Tactel, you’ll go far by being open, friendly, and willing to help others.
