Tell us a little about yourself and your path to Tactel
My journey at Tactel began with a thesis project in the spring of 2023. Right from the start, my days revolved around the Arc project—the 3D map service we’re building for in-flight entertainment systems, and I ended up staying after graduation :)
Today, I work as a developer on the Tools team. We’re responsible for the tools behind the map that make it easy to update things like content and branding, while also ensuring Arc receives the data it needs to run smoothly.
What does a typical workday look like?
A typical day at the office starts with my favorite bun for breakfast before the team gathers for our daily stand-up. We go through the day together, align on our priorities, and check if anyone needs help with anything specific. The rest of the time is mostly spent coding and coordinating with other teams working on Arc. And, of course, there’s time for some spontaneous chats with colleagues over a cup of coffee or tea along the way :)

I like that everyone on the team has a real say in how our products take shape. New ideas and feedback are always encouraged and welcome.
What makes Tactel, Tactel?
For me, it’s the community. It’s a genuine vibe—both on and off the clock. There is so much passion here, not just for the products we build, but for the people we’re building them with. Plus, we’re always doing fun things together, which makes it easy to bond with colleagues beyond just our daily projects.
And what about when you're not working?
In my free time, I’m usually hanging out with friends and my partner, or getting lost in a creative project. I enjoy painting, knitting, and sewing. Right now I’m finishing up some sofa cushions and and I’m planning to make a beach bag out of some second-hand towels. I also carve out one evening a week for improv theatre, which is so much fun!
Any advice for someone who wants to work here?
Stay curious and don't be afraid to ask questions. We’re a team that really has each other’s backs, and there is so much space here to learn, grow, and truly leave your mark on what we build.
