Tell us a little about yourself and your path to Tactel
My journey to Tactel began when my previous workplace shut down operations in Malmö. I got a tip to apply for a role at Tactel that fit my background, and it turned out to be a really great match. Today, almost ten years later, I work as a Software Architect on the Modular Interactive project, where we develop a tool used to build entertainment systems for aircraft.
What does a typical workday look like?
A typical day starts with a morning meeting with the team. We check the status of the project and help each other out if anyone gets stuck. After that, most of my time is spent on development, code reviews, and technical problem-solving. This can involve everything from frontend and backend to system architecture. One thing I particularly enjoy about the job is digging deep to understand how things work and finding simple solutions to complex problems.

The fun part is stripping away unnecessary complexity, finding smart solutions, and still getting to write the code myself.
What makes Tactel, Tactel?
For me, Tactel is a place where specialist expertise meets an unpretentious culture. We take on large, complex projects, yet the environment feels familiar and close-knit. From day one, this place felt like home. I’m not just "visiting"; I’m a natural part of the team. We’re empowered to take responsibility for the bigger picture, and having extremely competent colleagues to bounce tough problems off makes all the difference. That is what Tactel is all about.
And what about when you're not working?
Outside of work, I almost always have a project on the go, whether it’s building my own guitar pedals or tinkering with old clockwork mechanisms. Music is also a huge passion of mine; I play guitar, compose, and have a home studio. In between those projects, I like to relax by cooking, gardening, baking, and doing a bit of homebrewing.
Any advice for someone who wants to work here?
Be yourself. Tactel is full of humble experts who are happy to share their knowledge. There’s plenty of room here to test ideas, solve problems, and keep learning and developing.
