The Tactel design team
The Tactel design team is a cheerful and passionate group of over 20 designers, possessing a wide range of skills. We work on both projects and products, collaborating closely with other designers and developers, all guided by Tactel’s strong culture of kindness, empathy, and knowledge sharing. This approach ensures we are always learning from each other, sparking new ideas, upholding high design standards, and discovering the latest tools and trends together.

Your responsibilities
As a Lead UX Designer at Tactel, you will lead the design of both new and existing products and services. You will take an active role in design work, leading, coaching and challenging your fellow designers. You will also prepare and lead customer workshops, both in-person and remotely, with clients around the world. There are two main goals of these workshops: to guide participants in co-creating innovative solutions, and to gain the customer insights needed to design the best solutions for their business (in most cases an international airline).

In this role, understanding and conveying the “bigger picture” to all stakeholders is key, but you’ll also get the chance to work hands-on with design details based on your background. Your work will span the entire design process, from brainstorming and developing concepts for innovative new services to leading the design of digital products for clients like a major international airline. Your role will also include offering your UX expertise and support in sales situations.

What you need to have to succeed in this role:

• 5 + years of documented experience of recent UX design skills
• Proven experience leading design teams and projects
• Documented experience in user-centred activities such as service design, interviews, and user testing
• Strategic skills and the ability to understand and meet client goals
• Experience in planning and leading remote and live workshops, in international environments
• Ability to explain design and concepts clearly and convincingly for all kinds of audiences
• Leadership skills to be able to motivate and lead your team in the concept-creation phase
• Native or bilingual English
• Willingness to travel internationally
